Platform Terms

The terms that apply to organisations and users accessing CAQA Labs virtual lab environments, portals and hosted systems.

These Platform Terms apply to users, administrators and organisations that access CAQA Labs software, portals, dashboards, online systems or hosted environments. Users must keep account details secure, use the platform lawfully, protect confidential information, avoid unauthorised access and comply with any administrator, subscription or acceptable-use requirements.

About CAQA Labs and who these terms cover

CAQA Labs is the virtual lab environments website of CAQA Groups, a Career Calling International Pty Ltd (ABN 53 162 651 238) initiative. Our audience is organisational: registered training organisations, TAFEs, universities, schools, enterprise learning and development teams and government bodies that need practical, hands-on technical environments for their learners and staff. These terms cover the organisation that signs a service agreement with us (the client), the administrators the client nominates, and every trainer, assessor, learner or staff member who is given access to a CAQA Labs environment through that client.

Services offered on this site

Through this website and the environments provisioned behind it, CAQA Labs offers virtual lab environments, IT and networking labs, cybersecurity ranges, software and development sandboxes, course-aligned lab design, LMS and single sign-on integration, pay-as-you-train provisioning, support and monitoring, and custom lab builds and automation. This public website itself is informational: it describes those services, hosts our enquiry and newsletter forms, and links to the policies that govern our work.

Accounts and access

Access to a hosted environment is granted through named accounts or through the client's own identity provider. Each account is personal to the individual it is issued to. Users must keep passwords and access tokens confidential, must not share credentials, and must tell their administrator or CAQA Labs promptly if they suspect an account has been compromised. We may suspend an account while we investigate suspected misuse or a security risk.

Client and administrator responsibilities

The client is responsible for deciding who in its organisation receives access, keeping its user lists current, removing access for people who leave, and ensuring its users are aware of these Platform Terms and our Acceptable Use Policy. The client is also responsible for the accuracy of any roster, enrolment or course-mapping information it supplies so that lab exercises can be aligned to its training products.

Availability, maintenance and changes

We aim to keep hosted environments available for scheduled training use and we monitor them as described in our Support and Service Levels page. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside ordinary training hours where practicable and notified in advance. We may improve, reconfigure or replace platform features over time; where a change materially reduces functionality the client relies on, we will tell the nominated administrator before the change takes effect wherever reasonably possible.

Data

Information collected through this website and within hosted environments is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and our Data and Security Notice. Lab environments are simulated practice spaces: clients and users must not load production systems, live customer records or other real personal data sets into them.

Fees and payment model

CAQA Labs services are provided under written proposals or service agreements, billed by subscription or on a pay-as-you-train basis and paid by invoice. No payments are taken directly through this website; there is no online checkout, cart or stored payment facility on caqalabs.com.au. Billing, renewal, scaling and cancellation are governed by our Subscription Terms and the client's agreement.

Intellectual property

The platform, lab images, exercise designs, documentation and this website's content remain the property of CAQA Labs, Career Calling International Pty Ltd or their licensors. Clients receive a right to use provisioned environments for their own training purposes during their subscription. Content a client uploads into its own environment remains the client's, and the client warrants it has the rights to use that content.

Limits of advice

Material on this website is general information about our services. It is not technical, legal, regulatory or compliance advice for any particular organisation, and lab environments are simulated settings that do not replace testing, accreditation or validation of a client's own production systems. Recommendations about lab design are made on the basis of the information the client provides during scoping.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, our liability in connection with the platform is limited as set out in the client's service agreement, and we are not liable for loss caused by client-side networks, client-supplied content or use of environments contrary to these terms.
