Acceptable Use Policy

The rules for lawful, safe and fair use of CAQA Labs virtual lab environments and this website.

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using CAQA Labs, the virtual lab environments website of CAQA Groups and a Career Calling International Pty Ltd initiative, and every hosted lab, range, sandbox, portal or dashboard we provision. It applies to the education providers, enterprises and government bodies that subscribe to our services, to the administrators they nominate and to every trainer, assessor, learner and staff member given access through them, as well as to visitors using the forms on this website. Access to CAQA Labs services is conditional on compliance with this policy.

Lawful use only

You must use this website and our hosted environments only for lawful purposes. You must not use them to commit, facilitate or prepare for any offence, to infringe intellectual property rights, to harass, defame or threaten any person, or to breach any obligation you owe to a third party. Australian law applies to your use of our systems regardless of where you connect from.

No credential sharing

Accounts are issued to named individuals. You must not share your username, password, access token or single sign-on session with anyone else, and you must not use another person's credentials, even with their permission. Administrators must not create pooled or generic accounts for groups of learners unless we have agreed to that arrangement in writing for a specific supervised exercise.

No interference with systems

You must not interfere with or disrupt the operation of the platform or any other user's environment. Prohibited conduct includes attempting to disable or degrade services, introducing malware outside a contained exercise designed for it, tampering with monitoring or logging, consuming resources in a way intended to affect other tenants, and attempting to escape the boundaries of the environment allocated to you.

No unauthorised testing

Security testing, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, password attacks and similar activities are permitted only inside cyber-range scenarios and sandboxes that have been expressly provisioned for that exercise. You must not test, scan or probe this website, the platform's management layer, other clients' environments or any external system from within a CAQA Labs environment. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, report it to us rather than exploring it.

Proper use of simulated environments

Lab environments are simulated practice spaces for education and professional training. You must not misuse them: do not direct attacks, traffic or scanning at real-world systems from inside a lab; do not use lab capacity for production workloads, hosting services, cryptocurrency mining or personal projects; do not present simulated results, certificates or artefacts as if they came from real production systems; and do not attempt to retain access to an environment after your course, exercise or subscription ends.

Prohibited content

You must not upload or store in any CAQA Labs environment content that is unlawful, malicious outside a contained exercise, infringing, obscene or discriminatory, and you must not load real personal information, student records, patient data, production databases or other live confidential data sets into a lab. Environments may be reset, re-imaged or deleted as part of normal operation, so nothing irreplaceable should ever be stored in them.

Monitoring and enforcement

We log and monitor platform activity for security, capacity, support and evidence purposes, as described in our Data and Security Notice and Privacy Policy. If we reasonably believe this policy has been breached we may issue a warning, suspend or terminate accounts or environments, notify the client organisation's administrator, remove content, and report unlawful conduct to law enforcement. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to termination of the client's subscription in accordance with our Subscription Terms.

Payments

For clarity, no payments are taken through this website; subscriptions are invoiced under written agreements, so this policy contains no purchase or refund rules. Refund and cancellation positions are set out in our Subscription Terms.

Reporting misuse

If you see behaviour that appears to breach this policy, or you receive a suspicious communication claiming to be from CAQA Labs, report it to info@caqa.com.au or call 1800 266 160. Reports are handled confidentially and can be made anonymously.
